The journey is the destination! It's just ‘that journey’ that brought me to Africa 30 years ago and where I lost my heart. This led me to start my own business offering personalised trips to Kenya & Tanzania. On my website ‘Safari Pastel Art’ you will therefore find my passion for drawing and Africa combined. 12 Years ago, I started taking courses in “observational drawing” and “painting” at the art academy 'de Meiboom' in Halle to hone my technique. Soon my love for pastels grew here. After intense observation of many beautiful animals in the game reserves of East Africa, they became a fascinating subject for creating my pastel paintings. The choice of each animal is determined by their colour palette or specific/original characteristics.
